Establishing Regret Attitude of a Decision Maker within the MCDM Modelling Framework

چکیده
The paper describes how the MCDM modelling framework can be extended to account for a notion of regret. The non-regrettable decisions are generated in accordance with a DM's regret attitude which is established through an analysis of the trade-o s. Decisional validity of a proposed modeling framework is illustrated with a simple example.

Since numerous criteria exist, appropriate career selection issue can be thought as a multi criteria decision making (MCDM) problem. The aim of this study is to show that career selection can be carried out via MCDM methods and to compare ordering results of these methods. In this study, a survey is administered to a university students. In application, eight professions are comparatively ranke...
متن کاملObject-oriented decision support system modelling for multicriteria decision making in natural resource management
There is a great need for domain analysis and modelling for decision support systems (DSSs) with an e0ective methodology to assist the development of DSSs. This paper discusses the object-oriented modelling of DSSs for multicriteria decision making (MCDM) in natural resource management. This approach of DSS modelling is integrated into the uniform framework based on object orientation for both ...
متن کاملA framework for dynamic multiple-criteria decision making
a r t i c l e i n f o The classic multiple-criteria decision making (MCDM) model assumes that, when taking a decision, the decision maker has defined a fixed set of criteria and is presented with a clear picture of all available alternatives. The task then reduces to computing the score of each alternative, thus producing a ranking, and choosing the one that maximizes this value. However, most ...
متن کاملDynamic MCDM for Multi Group Decision Making
Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) models make preference decisions over multiple attributes’ alternatives available, which in most of the cases conflict among themselves. On the other hand, the classic MCDM model assumes that the decision maker has a pre-defined fixed set of criteria, when taking a decision, and is presented with a clear picture of all available alternatives. This classi...
